This post and beam seaside residence overlooks beautiful Deep Cove, British Columbia. It was originally constructed in 1955 by Lewis Construction—an early builder reknown for their open plan west coast style homes.

Broadway Architects design (addition/renovation) builds upon the original post and beam detailing. The home's new dramatic roofline recalls waves rolling along the shoreline on the forest's edge.  Its structure is comprised of curved glulam beams, douglas fir logs in conjunction with standard and post and beam wood framing. The homes beams and feature circular windows align with the rising and setting sun.
